It offers the convenience of a basic, no-frills checking account with the added bonus of paying you interest. With a Members Choice Checking Account, you can start saving with the following features:

• $1,000 minimum balance*

• 1.25% interest paid on monthly balances**

To qualify for a Members Choice Checking Account, you must also have a Chaco debit card and be enrolled in direct deposit.

* If a minimum balance of $1,000 is not maintained, a monthly service fee will be assessed on the last business day of the month according to Chaco’s Schedule of Fees and Charges.

Platinum Plus Money Market Account

Platinum Plus pays a money market rate which is adjusted as the prime rate changes. Checking writing is not an option for this account. A $100,000 minimum balance is required.

Introducing "CHACO Loans at the Dealership"

You read the title right, you can now open a car loan with CHACO on Sunday. But how is that possible? CHACO now gives you the option of opening a car loan while sitting at your dealership. The program is called "CHACO Loans at the Dealership". This convenient, new service is easy. Simply visit a participating car dealership and when you get ready to purchase your car, just ask if you can open your loan with CHACO. The dealer will then help you open your loan, and away you go!

So the next time you are car shopping, ask your dealer if they participate in "CHACO Loans at the Dealership".

CHACO Now Offers Overdraft Privilege

We know not everyone balances their checkbook to the penny. We also know there are times in all of our lives when unexpected expenses come and we wish we could just get a break to catch up. For those instances, CHACO has a solution. It is called Overdraft Privilege*.

But what is overdraft privilege? It is a new service that can be used when your paycheck runs out before all the monthly bills have been paid. Rather that returning any insufficient check unpaid, CHACO will consider payment of you reasonable overdrafts up to a $500 limit (including overdraft fees). It's discreet and there's no loan paperwork to complete. Plus, Overdraft Privilege saves you money with fewer charges from retailers on returned checks. The only fees for this service are CHACO Credit Union's standard overdraft fees, which will be charged for each item that would create an overdraft on your account.

Easier to Use Than a Payday Lender

Before you head over to the nearest payday lender or check cashing facility, remember you can use your CHACO Credit Union Overdraft Privilege 24 hours a day, seven days a week. There's no waiting for your paperwork to be processed since it is automatically tied to your checking account and you can access up to $500 immediately. The biggest advantage is that rather that your typical two-week payback terms, we give you 30 days to pay back the overdraft. Overdraft Privilege is just one more way CHACO Credit Union is helping you save money.
