IRAs

Knowing the best path for saving for your retirement is vital. Roth vs. Traditional IRA, how do you choose? At Chaco, our job is to help you determine which individual retirement account is right for you and more importantly, help you understand, prepare for and contribute to your savings.

The IRA Difference.
You can start depositing funds to your IRA account immediately or designate regular contributions right from your paycheck – all with no annual fees. IRA certificates have a $500 minimum balance requirement. The differences between Traditional and Roth IRAs come down to deductions.* Contributions to Traditional IRAs may be tax-deductible, while withdrawals – which themselves carry a few restrictions – are subject to federal income tax. In contrast, Roth IRA contributions are never tax-deductible, but qualified withdrawals are tax-free.
