May 16th - Shred Day

Don’t throw your personal documents in the garbage… SHRED instead!

Chaco Credit Union is teaming up with the City of Fairfield and Shred-It to fight fraud and identity theft. Shred Day is Saturday, May 16th from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Fairfield Community Art Center located at 411 Wessel Drive.  For a $5 donation to the Fairfield Food Pantry, you can safely have your documents professionally shredded.

A Shred-It truck will be in the parking lot to shred almost anything - statements, canceled checks, credit card receipts, insurance documents, legal documents, medical records, pay stubs, tax documents, mail with address labels, medical bills, utility bills, computer disks, etc. Staples and paper clips are allowed. Plastic, binder clips, three-ring binders and cardboard are not accepted.

This is a safe, secure and reliable way to dispose of your personal documents. All of the shredded paper will be recycled into secondary paper products such as paper towels and tissue to help protect natural resources.
